Privacy Policy

Current (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a recovery and regulation app — breathwork, meditation, and structured programs. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you keep. The short version: we collect the minimum the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and you can erase everything yourself, in the app, at any time.
What we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and password (or, with Sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple provides), plus the profile details you choose to share during setup: first name, username, city, and date of birth. All of these except email are optional — “Later” always works. We also keep the answers you give in the app's opening questions — what you want from Current, the shape of your day and evening, and how many minutes you usually have — so your plan is the same on every device.
Practice data. The sessions you complete (which session, when, for how long, and how you said you felt arriving and leaving), the sessions you save, your program progress, and your check-ins (stress, energy, state, time available). This is the record the app's patterns and history screens are built from. It exists so your practice survives losing your phone — nothing more.
Apple Health (optional). If you connect Apple Health, we read your heart rate during sessions to show you how your body settled. Those readings are used only for your session reports and are stored with your account, so they follow you to a new phone. We write two things to Apple Health, each only with your permission: your check-ins, saved to State of Mind, and — if you use Current on Apple Watch — each class, saved as a Mind & Body workout that records your heart rate while it plays. We never use health data for advertising or marketing and never share it with third parties. Turn any of this off anytime in the Health app (your profile → Apps → Current), or from You → Apple Health in Current.
On our website. If you take the questions at becurrent.app, we keep your answers (for example how you sleep, what keeps running in the evening, what you've already tried, and when your day starts and ends), your email address, which page or ad you arrived from, your referral code, and whether you asked for the launch-week letters. We use them to build your plan, to hand that plan to the app when you sign in with the same email (only after you've shown the email is yours; see below), to send the one launch-day email, and to send the letters only if you ticked the box. When we run ads, our website may use the Meta and TikTok pixels to learn which ads bring visitors: they receive the page, the step you reached (such as “started checkout”), and the ad you came from — never your answers or anything about your health.
Purchases. Subscriptions bought inside the app are processed by Apple; subscriptions bought on this website are processed by Whop, our checkout provider, which receives the email you use at checkout. We never see your card details from either. We keep a record of whether your subscription is active so the app knows what to unlock.
Email ownership. Before anything you did on our website with an email address — a purchase or your answers — is linked to an app account, the account has to show it owns that email, either through Sign in with Apple or a one-time code we send to it. We keep a small record that you did (your account, the email, and when), used only for that link.
What we don't collect. In the app: no advertising identifiers, no location tracking, no contacts, no third-party ad networks. Nowhere: no data brokers. We don't sell or rent personal data to anyone, and we don't use your data to train AI models.
Consumer health data
Some of what you share with us is consumer health data under laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's equivalent. For Current that means: heart-rate readings from Apple Health or Apple Watch, your check-ins and how you said a session left you, and the answers about sleep, stress, and what you've tried that you give in the app or on our website.
- Where it comes from. You, directly, and Apple Health or Apple Watch when you connect them.
- Why we use it. Only to provide Current to you: to build your plan, show your history and session reports, and keep them on every device you sign into.
- Who receives it. Supabase, which stores it for us, and Apple Health when you choose to save to it. No one else. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never send it to ad platforms.
- Your rights. You can see what we hold, ask for a copy, withdraw your consent, or delete it. Deleting your account in the app deletes it immediately; for anything else, including website answers given without an account, write to support@becurrent.app. We answer within 45 days. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to that decision; we'll respond to the appeal within 45 days and, if you're still not satisfied, tell you how to contact your state's attorney general.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, in access-controlled databases where each account can only ever reach its own rows. Data is encrypted in transit. Your practice data is also cached on your device so the app works fully offline.
Crash reports and analytics
If enabled in a future version, we may use privacy-focused crash reporting and aggregate analytics (counts of events like “session completed”) to keep the app stable. These would never include the content of your practice, your health data, or your identity, and this policy will be updated before any such tool ships.
Your control
- Sign out — the device forgets your data; your account keeps it.
- Delete account (You → Delete account) — permanently erases your account, profile, practice history, heart-rate readings, saved sessions, and check-ins from our servers, along with the answers you gave on our website, your email-ownership record, and our record of any purchase you made there under the same email. Immediate and irreversible. No email required, no waiting period. One exception: deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription bought on our website, so while that subscription is still active we keep its purchase record until it ends. Cancel it at whop.com first if you want everything gone at once (here's how). Apple and Whop keep their own records of payments under their own policies.
- Website only — if you answered the questions on becurrent.app but never made an account, write to us and we'll delete your answers and email.
- Access and export — write to us and we'll provide a copy of your data within 45 days.
- Letters — reply to any letter, or write to us, and they stop.
Children
Current is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe we have, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect. The current version always lives at this address.
